From <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebookseller.com\/news\/headline-review-snaps-compulsive-barkworth-debut-pre-empt-deal-964861\">the Bookseller<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>Headline&#8217;s sister imprint Headline Review has snapped up the \u201cheady  and compulsive\u201d debut novel from Hazel Barkworth in a pre-empt deal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Commissioning editor Frankie Edwards acquired world rights from Lucy Morris at Curtis Brown. Heatstroke will be published as a lead hardback in early summer 2020.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The novel is about the impact on three women of a teacher-pupil  relationship. The synopsis says:\u00a0 \u201cIt would be fair to assume this book  is about 15-year-old Lily, who disappears at the beginning of a long,  hot summer.
