Grazia<\/em>: “The Kite Runner<\/em> meets Brokeback Mountain<\/em> in this sweeping tale of a young gay man\u2019s struggle.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India Today: “<\/em>In The Carpet Weaver,<\/em> journalist and activist Nemat Sadat tells the story of a young boy’s transition to adulthood against the backdrop of severe changes in his homeland. Just as Kanishka Nurzada, the protagonist, gathers courage to tell his parents about his sexuality, chaos erupts in the country and his life changes in ways he had never imagined. The politics of the region becomes a powerful backdrop to Kanishka’s life story, as he carries his secret in fear.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
